MentorNet helps students in engineering and science achieve their career goals by matching them with mentors in industry. Our goal is to diversify the global workforce and to level the playing field for college students in more than 65 challenging technical disciplines.

C-STEM

Since 2002, CSTEM has operated as a non-profit organization providing services to teachers and students in areas of communication, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (CSTEM). Through action research, CSTEM has developed a program that supports and services Pre K-12 pipeline teams, enriching the teaching and learning process for both teachers and students around the world.

TMCC Student Ambassador Program

The ambassadors share TMCC’s mission and vision with prospective students and distinguished college visitors. The TMCC student ambassadors represent the college in a responsible, ethical and professional manner while portraying a positive image of the institution. The ambassadors serve as college representatives while working in direct partnership with college personnel. TMCC student ambassadors strive to encourage students, staff, alumni and community involvement in the mission of the college.

TMCC Success First Grant Initiative and Summer Bridge Program

The Success First Grant Initiative and Summer Bridge program assists first time, first generation college students by increasing their college readiness skills, so they may pursue higher education and achieve their goals. Students selected will receive information regarding important support services such as counseling, tutoring, financial aid and other services to achieve graduation and/or transfer success.

Western Nevada College Bridge to Success Program

The department of student outreach promotes WNC and personalizes the college to prospective students, their families and the community. The department of student outreach supports college goals through increasing visibility, awareness of WNC and promotes high school-to-college success.

UNR TRIO Scholars Program

Our mission is to assist low-income, first generation students to overcome the cultural, academic, class, and social barriers to success in higher education and to assure that participants graduate from the university.

UNR TRIO Upward Bound

Upward Bound is a FREE college preparatory program designed to help qualifying students graduate from high school, gain entrance to and successfully graduate from college. Upward Bound provides college readiness for motivated, income qualified and first- generation college bound high school students through the development of skills and knowledge essential for successful admission, persistence, and completion of post-secondary education.

Nevada State College TRIO Upward Bound Program

Upward Bound provides fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance. The program provides opportunities for participants to succeed in their precollege performance and ultimately in their higher education pursuits. Upward Bound serves: high school students from low-income families; and high school students from families in which neither parent holds a bachelor’s degree. The goal of Upward Bound is to increase the rate at which participants complete secondary education and enroll in and graduate from institutions of postsecondary education.
