TMCC Student Ambassador Program

Program Type: Higher Education

The ambassadors share TMCC’s mission and vision with prospective students and distinguished college visitors. The TMCC student ambassadors represent the college in a responsible, ethical and professional manner while portraying a positive image of the institution. The ambassadors serve as college representatives while working in direct partnership with college personnel. TMCC student ambassadors strive to encourage students, staff, alumni and community involvement in the mission of the college.

Qualifications

Qualification 1

Currently and continuously enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits at TMCC and maintain a 2.5 GPA

Qualification 2

Basic knowledge of the various aspects and resources of TMCC including, but not limited to admissions, financial aid, academics, and student services.

Qualification 3

  • Ability to work with diverse student populations
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
    Exhibit leadership, initiative, organization, responsibility, and respect.

Additional Qualifications

Preferred Qualification

  • Have previously completed 6 credits of college-level work at TMCC.
  • Spanish bilingual.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and/or PeopleSoft.
  • Successfully completed TMCC Success First Summer Bridge Program.
  • Experience creating and maintaining effective and attractive social media.
