The Success First Grant Initiative and Summer Bridge program assists first time, first generation college students by increasing their college readiness skills, so they may pursue higher education and achieve their goals. Students selected will receive information regarding important support services such as counseling, tutoring, financial aid and other services to achieve graduation and/or transfer success.

Qualifications

Qualification 1

Apply and be admitted to TMCC for summer

Qualification 2

First generation; neither parent or guardian has a bachelor’s degree in the U.S. (exceptions will be considered for students demonstrating strong interests)

Qualification 3

Place in ENG 98R or higher, and MATH 96 or higher (with qualifying ACT/SAT/ACCUPLACER score)

Additional Qualifications

Submit FAFSA and demonstrate financial need
